2026 TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: December 15, 2025
These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern all services provided by Summer Pack-It, Limited Liability Company ("Summer Pack-It," "SPI," "we," "us," or "our"). By scheduling services and submitting payment, you ("Customer," "you") agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Service Description
Summer Pack-It provides logistics coordination services including, but not limited to:
pickup, packing assistance (if purchased), shipping, storage, long-distance moves, vehicle transport coordination, and return delivery of personal items.
Services are performed through contracted representatives, independent contractors, licensed carriers, and third-party affiliates such as storage facilities, warehouses, moving companies, shipping carriers, and auto transport providers. Summer Pack-It does not operate as a common carrier.
2. Scheduling, Deposits & Cancellation Policy
Scheduling & Deposit
To schedule services, customers must select service dates and submit the required minimum deposit at the time of booking. Services are not confirmed until payment authorization is completed.
Deposits are applied toward the total service cost and are refundable in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your service:
Within 48 hours of booking:
Cancellation is free of charge and your deposit will be fully refunded.
After 48 hours from booking:
A $50 cancellation fee will be charged.
Within one (1) week of your scheduled reservation date:
A $200 late cancellation fee will be charged.
Day-of cancellation or cancellation after packing materials have been delivered:
You will be charged 50% of your total order value.
Cancellation fees may be charged to the card on file. Any remaining refundable balance will be issued to the original payment method.
3. Credit Card & Payment Authorization
All payments must be made by credit or debit card. Summer Pack-It does not accept checks or cash, except gratuities.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Summer Pack-It does not store card numbers, but the card on file may be charged for approved services, installment payments, rescheduling fees, cancellation fees, storage extensions, or outstanding balances.
Failure to process payment does not relieve you of responsibility for amounts owed. Summer Pack-It may delay, suspend, cancel, or withhold services or deliveries until payment is received.
4. Installment Plan Policy
Eligible services may be paid using an installment plan of up to three (3) payments, subject to approval at the time of booking.
Enrollment Fee
All installment plans include a one-time, non-refundable $35 enrollment fee, charged at enrollment.
Timing & Eligibility
All installments must be completed before final service completion, including:
- Return delivery of stored items
- Completion of shipping or long-distance deliveries
- Release of vehicles
If your return or delivery date occurs before three installments can reasonably be completed, you are not eligible for a three-payment plan. The balance must be paid in full or adjusted to fewer installments.
Failed Payments
Late or failed payments may result in service delays, delivery holds, rescheduling fees, or cancellation. Enrollment fees are non-refundable.
5. Packing & Supplies
Customers are responsible for packing their belongings unless Packing Assistance Services are purchased.
No packing materials are included with any service unless explicitly stated in writing.
Packing Kit Option
Customers may purchase a packing kit consisting of seven (7) boxes and tape. Packing kits must be ordered in advance and are subject to availability and delivery timelines. Summer Pack-It is not responsible for carrier delays or incorrect delivery information.
Each box and each item not fitting into a box is considered one "Item" for pricing purposes.
6. Packing Assistance Services
Where purchased, packing assistance may include in-room packing, labeling, and light disassembly. Services are performed based on customer instructions.
Summer Pack-It is not responsible for damage to undisclosed fragile, restricted, or high-value items. Additional time beyond estimates may result in additional charges.
7. Shipping Services
Summer Pack-It may coordinate domestic shipping or freight services through third-party carriers. Delivery windows are estimates only and not guaranteed.
Carrier liability limits apply in addition to Summer Pack-It's limits. Final payment must be completed prior to delivery when installments are used.
8. Vehicle Transport Services
Vehicle transport is coordinated through licensed and insured auto transport partners.
Customers must maintain their own vehicle insurance, remove personal belongings unless approved, and accept estimated pickup and delivery windows.
Final payment must be completed prior to vehicle release.
9. Long-Distance & Out-of-Area Moves
Long-distance services may involve cross-state or cross-country coordination with third-party movers or freight carriers. Delivery windows are estimated and not guaranteed.
Failure to complete payment may result in delayed delivery, storage placement, or additional charges.
10. Access to Residence Halls
Summer Pack-It adheres to institutional housing policies. Customers or Alternate Contacts must accompany representatives when required. If access is restricted, curbside or alternate arrangements may be required. All fees still apply.
11. Alternate Contact Authorization
Customers may designate an Alternate Contact authorized to release, receive, confirm condition, and approve charges on their behalf. Actions taken by an Alternate Contact may not be disputed.
12. Storage Services
Storage services include pickup and delivery.
Storage Locations
Items may be stored in:
- Climate-controlled storage facilities
- Climate-controlled warehouse spaces
- Secured warehouses with climate management systems
Climate Control Assurance
All storage environments utilized by Summer Pack-It provide climate control or climate management comparable to standard storage facilities, suitable for household goods.
Climate control does not guarantee constant temperature or humidity and does not imply air-conditioning at all times. Minor fluctuations consistent with industry standards may occur.
Maximum included storage period is four (4) months. Additional storage periods will be billed if delivery is not scheduled timely.
13. Abandonment
Items with unpaid balances or undeliverable items may be deemed abandoned. Summer Pack-It may assume ownership ten (10) days after the final delivery period and may sell or auction items.
14. Restricted Items
Summer Pack-It cannot store or transport firearms, hazardous materials, illegal items, liquids, cash, jewelry, or collectibles. Customers assume liability for prohibited items and agree to indemnify Summer Pack-It.
15. Lost or Damaged Items
Liability limits:
- Boxed items: up to $100 per item
- Unboxed items: $0.60 per pound (max $100)
- Vehicles: $0.60 per pound (max $300)
Claims must be reported within 24 hours and filed within 10 days. Numerous exclusions apply including concealed damage, inadequate packing, fragile items, electronics not in original packaging, acts of God, and items not in SPI custody.
Summer Pack-It's maximum liability shall not exceed the lesser of fees paid or $100 per item.
16. Independent Contractors
Summer Pack-It utilizes independent contractors and third-party vendors. No contractual relationship exists between customers and vendors.
17. Affiliation
Summer Pack-It is privately owned. Institutional affiliations are proprietary.
18. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
19. Policy Updates
Summer Pack-It reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website.
